What are tinctures?

Tinctures are concentrated herbal extracts made by soaking the plant materials (bark, berries, leaves, or roots), in alcohol.

The alcohol pulls out the active ingredients in the plant parts, concentrating them as a liquid.

Alcohol crosses the blood-brain barrier and is easily absorbed into the body and bloodstream the minute it goes into your mouth. Tinctures are also a better option for people who struggle with a weak gut and digestion, since the gut doesn't have to absorb capsules and pulverized plant material.

Our tinctures are potent plant remedies with an herb strength ratio of 1:2. This means only 1 ml is equivalent to 500 mg of herbs!
